can i live without you?
I’ve been wondering so long
If you could still be owned
Owned by me, by me alone
All the tears that I’ve cried,
With laughter you have dried,
Will be memories soon to fade
I don’t want to let go
I don’t want to see you go
I need you here by my side
Till the day that I die
Hope you are listening
To my heart…yelling
Goodbye…it can’t be
We will always be meant to be…

Cheering!
We are so happy because all our efforts paid off. We were the champions in the last cheer dance competition batch 4 and 2nd in the overall champions.
We gave are best shot during the competition and made it even if last minute changes have been made.
Some of our PE block mates got sick few days before the competition. Ara, one of our block mates, didn’t make it because of her sickness.
We were all excited during the competition and nervous as well. We just prayed to God and put it all in his hands.

Maria Katipunera went to Sitio Madlum, Bulacan.
Our exposure trip to Bulacan is very memorable for me.
My foster parents are nanay Julia ang tatay Albert along with my foster sisters and brother Joan, Jobelle, Jocelyn and John Albert.
As soon as I set my foot on the ground of Madlum, I already felt the good ambiance of the place. The place is not like what our eyes can see here in Manila. Tall trees, green grass, clean rivers, and fresh air-these are all the things which welcomed us along with the smile painted on the faces of our foster families.
It is already lunch time when we got there, so our nanay served us a vegetable meal. It’s not difficult for me to eat vegetables because I am a vegetarian. After eating, we took a nap to regain our strength. Then, we started our “tour” with our sisters- Joan and Jocelyn.
At first, you will assume that all we did is just to enjoy the nature but all we did is taking part to their everyday life. I myself got water from the river because they don’t have a faucet like what we have here in Manila. I ate what they usually ate and slept where they sleep. We have passed through rivers for us to go to one place to another. We have taken our bath to the nearest river to our place. I got gallon of water from the river to our house for us to have some water for the whole family. The place does not have electric posts like what we have here that’s why we need to use flashlights for us to walk during the night. We also have slept using the traditional kulambo.
All of these we have made with great compassion for us to really feel how it is to live in their place. Our life there is not structured. It is not ruled by the time but still you are aware that every single minute passes by and you have to make the most out of it for you to be productive. Because of all the things that we have done and experienced, I realize to value many things in life, like for instance the water that is readily available which we often waste and the abundance of electricity. I learned the value of hard work to attain all the things that you want and need because it will not be just given to you in an instant. You need to work for it so that you can earn it and be thankful of what you have because not all people have it.
Our exposure trip is not just a typical trip to remember. It is a trip which will be treasured for the rest of my life.

MATHirang MATHibay
Alternative Classes week has passed by and it has given me many memories to cherish.
Mathirang Mathibay is an activity sponsored by the Math Department of our school. It has the resemblance of amazing race.
First you have to do a physical challenge then later on a mental challenge which involves mathematical problems. We are 5 in a group actually 8 because substitutes are with us. Sir. Dayrit told them to go with us in case one of us will get hurt.
The travel time is not included in the computation of time. Each station required us to finish the two tasks for only five minutes. Physical challenges includes basketball, climbing a pole to reach a flag which is located on top, doing the first layer of the rubics cube, forming a human pyramid, playing hula hoops and jumping rope etc. I think there were eight stations and we’ve finished all of those in 16 minutes.
We ranked four with a 15 seconds difference that’s why we were quite bitter about it but most importantly we have enjoyed the activity. It served as a bonding experience for our team. Though we were exhausted after it we can still say that we are all MATHibay!
